The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers are excited to share that we will be hosting a Dia de Ciencia's (DdC), at the Science Spectrum & OMNI Theater, on March 1st, 2025, from 10:00 am-3:00 pm.
WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION TO JOIN US!
Dia de Ciencia's translates to "day of science"! We aim to showcase some of the amazing organizations at Texas Tech, with yours being one of them! The objective of DdC is to:
1. increase awareness of fields and careers;
2. increase participants’ beliefs about their ability to succeed in college
Your organization will have a table at this event and host a short non-STEM or STEM-related activity lasting from 5-10 minutes. This activity can be a short hands-on project or a fun collaborative game! Our participants will be encouraged to approach the tables and network with the organizations present! We expect about 100 students of ages 5-18, with parents also encouraged to attend.
This event will be great for awareness to Lubbock ISD students and your organization can MAKE THAT POSSIBLE!
