Get ready for the most awaited event of the year – The Worldwide Showcase! We're calling on all talented individuals from across the campus to bring the magic of their cultures to the stage. Whether it's a mesmerizing dance, a soulful song in your native language, or any unique cultural expression, we want to see YOU shine!
Worldwide Showcase is a Global Talent show where students from all cultural backgrounds are invited to participate! Individuals, groups and student organizations are encouraged to apply to represent their culture(s).
A Cash prize will be awarded for two categories, Group Performance (3 or more people), Independent Performance (1-2 people) and Audience Choice.
Judging will be based on:
- Creativity – Was the performance unique? Were the costumes fitting to the performance? Good implementation of props (if available)?
- Coordination / Cohesiveness - Was the performance organized? For example: Were the performers spaced properly? Were the dancers coordinated?
- Expression of Culture - Did the performance have any aspects of culture that were being represented? (Performers were allowed to show modern talents as long their represented culture is incorporated).
- Stage Presence – Confidence? Was the competitor prepared? How did the performance utilize the stage?
- Entertainment Value - Did it keep your attention? Was it fun, engaging, or thought-provoking?
