Texas Tech Experts is designed to assist industry, media outlets and potential research colleagues connect with our faculty experts. With expertise ranging from art history to zoology, Texas Tech Experts draws from a database of more than 1,000 university faculty members.

The media relations team in the Office of Communications and Marketing is available to answer your questions and assist you in connecting with a source.



For Industry

The university places an emphasis on translating Texas Tech research discoveries into commercial opportunities. The Office of Research Commercialization works with researchers and business partners to license university technology and successfully bring our innovations to the marketplace.



For Texas Tech Faculty

In addition to using Texas Tech Experts to find potential research collaborators, the Office of the Vice President for Research also maintains a funding resources website that lists external competitive research funding and internal funding sources. The Office of Research Commercialization is responsible for identifying, protecting, marketing and licensing the intellectual property created by faculty, staff and students in the Texas Tech University System. There also are a number of core facilities and other resources are available across the university to assist faculty members in their research.
